Applying for the RP Group Awards

RP Group recognition of research, planning, and dissertation excellence.

The RP Group Awards recognize the work of individuals, collges and organizations for excellence in community college research and planning, including:

  • Excellence in Research – Regional/Statewide Project
  • Excellence in Research – College/District Project
  • Excellence in Planning
  • Dissertation/Thesis Excellence

Award Criteria

  • Awards are for work completed within the California community college system during 2010-2011.
  • Only one entry is allowed per category for each institution or agency, with the exception of the dissertation category.
  • Dissertations must have been accepted by your dissertation committee.

Deadline - Extended!

All entries must be submitted by 11:50 p.m. PST on Friday, January 20.  Awards will be announced in February 2012.

Dissemination of Winning Projects

  • The Award winning projects will be posted to the RP Group website and featured in the RP Perspectives newsletter.
  • The Award winners for the first three categories will present sessions and all winners will be recognized at the RP Group Conference, held in Pomona at the Kellogg Center on April 5-6, 2012.
