Conference Program

The 2012 RP Conference Program.

The 2012 RP Conference program is available in the Excel spreadsheet to the right. Conference features include:

- 21 sessions highlighting tools, resources, and insights addressing critical issues surrounding research, planning, and assessment
- Keynote speech by Randy Swing, Executive Director of the Association for Institutional Research
- Presentation of the 2012 RP Awards recognizing excellence in Research, Planning, and Thesis/Dissertation
- Statewide and national updates by the RP Group and the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office
- Numerous opportunities to connect with colleagues, old and new

The primary areas of focus for the Conference are as follows:

Research:
- Automate/streamline reporting at various levels
- Track students, including the process and use of cohort tracking systems
- Apply research methods and statistical techniques

Planning:
- Link research and planning with budget and resource allocation
- Enable prioritization in planning

Assessment:
- Design and assess student learning outcomes at all levels
- Collect and document SLO efforts

Communication:
- Effectively communicate (e.g. written, verbal) research findings including data visualization tools
- Engage and collaborate with practitioners (e.g. faculty, student services, administrators) in the research process
