Are you an institutional researcher with beginning or intermediate Geographic Information Systems (GIS) skills, or are you new to GIS? The workshop will provide an overview of computerized mapping and databases with an emphasis on integrating spatial data.  Using ESRI’s ArcGIS 9.2 software, this workshop will cover topics including layers, geodatabases, importing and joining existing databases to a GIS map, importing student demographics into GIS, and performing basic spatial analysis.
