RP Group Statement on Matriculation Prerequisites
Position paper outlining the RP Group response to a proposal that Title 5 be amended to remove statistical validation of prerequisities, presented at the Board of Governors meeting in July 2010 and reasoning for not supporting the revised proposal that was passed in Feburary 2011.
This pair of briefs address the RP Group’s concern with the proposal to modify Title 5 to establish permissive language related to statistical validation of proposed prerequisites. The first proposes a framework for a comprehensive approach to the issue of prerequisites and their impact upon the development education sequences in our colleges. The second clarifies the organization's concerns with the revised proposal.
