July 2005  |  RP Group

Overview documents that outline both internal and external trends that are shaping the future of the System as part of the Statewide Strategic Planning Process for California Community Colleges.

Under contract with the Foundation for California Community Colleges, a seven-member panel of the Research and Planning Group for California Community Colleges (RP Group) Center for Student Success (CSS) developed a series of overview documents that would outline both internal and external trends that are shaping the future of the System and its 72 community college districts as part of the Statewide Strategic Planning Process for California Community Colleges. The analysis included a review of the national and state literature and a review of system-wide trends related to access, progression of students, workforce development, graduation, basic skill development and transfer. This document provides the full report.
