Under contract with the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office, a six-member panel of the Research and Planning Group for California Community Colleges (RP Group) Center for Student Success (CSS) carried out a study to develop a set of performance frameworks, performance indicators and recommended approach to performance evaluation for discussion and review by an External Panel of Experts, a Statewide Oversight Committee of CA Community College Leaders, the Department of Finance and the Legislative Analyst's Office in response to AB1417 (Pacheco) [Chapter 581, Statues of 2004], for eventual adoption by the Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges and submission to Legislature and the Governor of California.
The RP/CSS Panel worked closely with Patrick Perry, Vice Chancellor for Technology, Research and Information Systems and Willard Hom, Director of Research and Planning at the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office in the development of the performance framework study. Panel Members include: Dr. Judith Beachler, Director of Institutional Research, Los Rios Community College District; Dr. Robert Gabriner, Director of the Center for Student Success of the RP Group and Dean of Research, Planning and Grants, City College of San Francisco; Dr. Craig Hayward, Director of Institutional Research, Mendocino-Lake Community College District; Dr. Kenneth Meehan, Director Of Institutional Research at Fullerton College and President-Elect of the RP Group; Dr. Brad Phillips, founder and Executive Director of the California Partnership for Achieving Student Success (Cal-PASS); and Dr. Andreea Serban, Associate VP for Information Resources and Director of Institutional Assessment, Research and Planning at Santa Barbara City College and President of the RP Group.
