Gabriel Rodriguez

Gabriel Rodriguez is a first-generation college student and an Administration of Justice major at Porterville College. He is currently a Language Assistance Tutor in American Sign Language at Porterville College in the new Innovation Centers. Gabriel will be graduating from Porterville College in December 2023 with his Associate of Science Degree for Transfer in Administration of Justice. Gabriel is an immigrant from Mexico whose family migrated to Porterville, CA. He grew up poor all his life and struggled with balancing his education, family, and work responsibilities. Gabriel is hoping to attend California State University, Fresno, in spring 2024 to further his education in Criminology. In his free time, Gabriel enjoys playing chess, reading, gathering with friends at deaf social events, and practicing American Sign Language. Gabriel volunteers his time at a local food pantry called Food Link of Tulare County to give back to his community.
