Toni Parsons
Dr. Toni Trejo Parsons currently serves as the Associate Dean of Instructional Support Services at Crafton Hills College. Before going to Crafton in 2026, she served over 20 years at San Diego Mesa College as contract math faculty, HSI Title III STEM grant Director, and Acting Dean of Instruction. During her time as faculty, she served as a faculty leader through various positions including Curriculum Chair, Senate Treasurer, Department Chair, Basic Skills Math Coordinator, New Faculty Institute Mentor, and most recently as Pathways Co-Coordinator and CPL lead. She has also served at the state level on the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges Basic Skills, Curriculum, and Career and Technical Education Leadership committees, as well as on the Board of Governors Strong Workforce Taskforce.
Toni attended the LFM Academy in 2019 with the San Diego Mesa College team, moving into a coaching role in 2020, and in 2021 became an Academy facilitator. Toni received her EdD in community college leadership from San Diego State University in 2020. Her dissertation focused on the degree aspirations of STEM majors who began their postsecondary education at a community college. Outside of the professional realm, Toni is a mother of two to Nicolas and Maralyn, and she enjoys riding in the desert, shooting pool, solving puzzles, and watching all sports.
